Personality
Social and considerate, with the ability to easily fit into new contexts and environments. Curious by nature, constantly striving to learn new things and become a better person. It is my belief that no individual is neither complete nor perfect; acknowledging your flaws and weaknesses is what enables you to evolve and learn. When working in teams or group, with a vision and willingness to improve, anything is possible. When it comes to work, these are also the situations where I excel; being part of the solution and sharing my ideas while at the same time learning and becoming a better person.I have a great interest in technology, and I'm a firm believer of Open Source. Transparency and communities enables an environment where everyone contributes to the best of their abilities, and help each other. When asked for advice, I therefor gladly share my experiences and knowledge. Since I'm an analytical thinker I find it easy to absorb new knowledge, and to get an idea how small parts of larger systems interact. As far as I reckon, these are sides of my that my coworkers and friends appreciate.
Expertice
During the last couple of years I've been running a Linux based server, an experience I warm heartedly recommend to everyone. This has given me insight not only in how Linux Systems work, but also given me the opportunity to explore and experiment with various technologies and applications. It has a constant MySQL database as well as an Apache web server running, and makes use of both Samba and NFS file systems locally. Cups and Avahi also makes service sharing over the network painless.Professionally I've worked in a development team at Sony Ericsson, developing test tools and supporting applications mainly to HP Quality Center. Most of these were written in C#/.Net. From working with Sony Ericsson I also have experience from IBM Rational Clearquest, albeit a customized version. My master thesis was also carried out on Sony Ericsson. This thesis consisted of a case study focusing on finding improvements to the testing process of an existing Scrum team. The goal was to find ways to change their way of working in order to create a more agile process by reducing waste and yet still be able to maintain the quality level.
The main programming language used in courses at the Faculty of Engineering, Lund University is Java; therefore this is the language in which I am most fluent. Other languages used during my education are C and C++, as well as smaller amounts of PHP. Based on personal experience and curiosity, I also have varying knowledge in Ruby, (X)HTML and CSS.
